Gemstone Lights started in Calgary in 2016 with one goal: outdoor lights that survive prairie winters and never have to come down. The system is a custom aluminum track, colour-matched to your trim and shaped to your soffit, with a light every 9 inches and every connection sealed with a watertight compression fitting.
Each light has red, green, blue and a true warm-white diode, so the same roofline can glow a soft 2800–3000K white on an ordinary Tuesday, run red and green through December, and switch to team colours on game night — from your phone, or automatically.
Because Baer Electric is a licensed electrician as well as an authorized Gemstone dealer, the power side — outlet location, control box placement and any wiring the install needs — is planned and done by the same crew that hangs the track.

Lifetime
on the lights
Lifetime is defined by the manufacturer's testing: an estimated 50,000-hour lifespan, which is about 20 years at 7 hours a day. Coverage doesn't depend on how many hours you actually run them.

on all other parts
Power kits, controllers, cables, connectors and track are covered for 10 years.

labour
Service charges are covered for the first year after installation. Baer Electric is local, so service calls are a short drive away.
The warranty must be registered within 30 days of installation. It can be transferred once to a new homeowner within the 10-year period (up to 2 years of remaining coverage) if the transfer is completed within 90 days of possession. Terms from Gemstone Lights, effective October 1, 2024.
