Gemstone Lights was founded in Calgary in 2016 to build outdoor lights that could survive prairie winters and never have to come down. Today the lineup covers rooflines, yards, patios and decks, all running on one app with free Autopilot calendars and no monthly fees.
Most permanent-lighting installers are lighting companies. We're electricians first. That means the power behind your lights — outlets, control box placement, and any wiring the install needs — is planned and done properly by the same people who hang the track.
We'll also travel past our usual service area for a Gemstone install. If you're outside the Goodsoil–Meadow Lake region, ask anyway.

Lifetime
on the lights
Lifetime is defined by the manufacturer's testing: an estimated 50,000-hour lifespan, which is about 20 years at 7 hours a day. Coverage doesn't depend on how many hours you actually run them.

on all other parts
Power kits, controllers, cables, connectors and track are covered for 10 years.

Service charges are covered for the first year after installation. Baer Electric is local, so service calls are a short drive away.
The warranty must be registered within 30 days of installation. It can be transferred once to a new homeowner within the 10-year period (up to 2 years of remaining coverage) if the transfer is completed within 90 days of possession. Terms from Gemstone Lights, effective October 1, 2024.
Other products have their own terms: deck lights carry a lifetime warranty on the lights (Deck Rings 5 years), landscape flood lights a 5-year product warranty, and patio bulbs 5 years (other components 10). Each product page lists its terms.

Measure & design
Blair measures the rooflines and plans track runs, power locations and zones, then gives you a written quote.

Install
Track is mounted under the eaves and colour-matched to your trim. The power side is wired by a licensed electrician.

App walkthrough
We set up the app with you, build a few favourite scenes and schedules, and register your warranty.
