In December the sun is down by late afternoon, and the yard is dark long before chores are done. Good lighting is a safety thing: you need to see the ice on the step, the hitch on the trailer and whatever's moving near the barn. Baer Electric installs yard lights on poles and buildings, motion and dusk-to-dawn security lights, and lighting for driveways, entrances and parking areas.

Inside, the usual job is replacing old fluorescent or metal-halide fixtures in shops, barns and businesses with LED. LEDs come on at full brightness in a cold shop, use less power than the fixtures they replace and last longer, which counts when the fixture hangs high in a building. We also install pot lights, fixtures, under-cabinet lighting and switching in homes and cabins.
