Farm country on Highway 55.

Rapid View is an unincorporated place on the Highway 55 corridor, about 24 km west of Meadow Lake. There's no village office here, just farmland in every direction and the yards, shops and bins that go with it. On the road from Goodsoil to Meadow Lake it comes up about two-thirds of the way along: 51 km, or roughly 42 minutes, from our base.

So most of what we do around Rapid View is farm work. Barn wiring, grain bin electrical, power to a new shop, equipment hookups, and trenching to bury a line across the yard instead of stringing another overhead run. Farm electrical tends to grow one building at a time, so a good part of the job is often working out what's already there before adding to it.

Farmhouses and acreage homes get the same attention: panel upgrades, renovations, new outlets and repairs, plus inspections and preventive maintenance so problems turn up before harvest rather than during it.
