Gemstone doesn't publish prices. Roofline cost depends mostly on linear footage and installation; flood, patio and deck lights depend on the number of lights and layout. We measure and quote for free.

Roofline and commercial track lights carry a lifetime warranty on the lights and 10 years on other parts, plus 1 year of labour. Deck lights also have a lifetime light warranty. Landscape flood lights and patio bulbs carry 5-year warranties. Register within 30 days of installation.

Gemstone doesn't publish a price list. Cost depends mainly on the linear footage of your rooflines and the installation rate. We measure your home and give you a written quote, and quotes are free.

Not much. The track is colour-matched to your soffit and fascia (Gemstone offers 150+ colours) and shaped to your soffit depth, so it reads as part of the trim. Gemstone describes it as hardly visible when the lights are off.

Gemstone was founded in Calgary specifically to build lights that survive harsh winters. The lights are IP67 waterproof and UV-rated, and because they sit in the track under the eaves, they're sheltered from wind, hail and snow.

Lights are individually connected, so one can be replaced without touching the rest. The lights carry a lifetime warranty (rated 50,000 hours, about 20 years at 7 hours a day), and we're local, so service is a short drive away.

Usually not. Gemstone's control box plugs into a regular outlet and doesn't need a dedicated one. If there isn't an outlet in a sensible spot, we're electricians — we can add one properly.

Most installs are done in a day. Fall is the busiest season (October to December), so if you want lights for Christmas, book early.

No. The Gemstone Lights app has no monthly fees, and the Autopilot event calendars are free.

In deck boards, stair treads and risers, posts and walkways. We plan placement with you so the stairs and edges read clearly at night.

They sit flush in a metal Deck Ring, and for high-traffic stair treads there's an optional recessed spacer that sets the lens just below the ring to protect it from boots, furniture and shovels.

Clear caps give the brightest, crispest point of light. Frosted caps give a softer, more even glow. We'll help you choose at the consultation.

Gemstone's answer is no — voltage alone doesn't tell you everything. The benefit comes from the complete system: simpler installation, built-in protection, certification and a platform for future products.

No. Gemstone says you probably won't notice the difference by looking at the lights. The change is in the power and wiring behind them.

It's designed as a Class 2 certified system, complies with NEC and CEC requirements, includes overcurrent and short-circuit protection, and carries UL certifications for Class 2 power units, LED equipment and low-voltage lighting.

Gemstone hasn't published compatibility details for mixing or upgrading older 12V systems. Ask us — we'll check your specific system with Gemstone before recommending anything.

Yes. Gemstone says new products and innovations will be built on the 48V system going forward.
