Meadow Lake Provincial Park was established in 1959 and is Saskatchewan's largest provincial park: about 1,600 km², running roughly 113 km from Cold Lake on the Alberta border east to Waterhen Lake. It holds dozens of lakes, 12 campgrounds with more than 800 sites, and the 135 km Boreal Trail, opened in 2011. From Goodsoil, the nearest lakes are about 20 minutes away and the farthest, Flotten, about 77.

Every lake is a little different. Kimball Lake has a north-shore cabin subdivision on Highway 224 and a 190-site campground behind a kilometre of sandy beach. Waterhen, at about 10,000 hectares the park's second-largest lake, has cabins at South Waterhen, including 18 at Tawaw, five of them winterized. Pierce Lake has the lodge and cabins at Howe Bay, and Flotten Lake, far out at the north-east end, rents cabins.

Park cabins work hard for a few months and sit for the rest, and the wiring notices. We do panel upgrades and additions, outdoor outlets, trenching for buried lines, and inspections before opening or after closing up. Resorts and golf course facilities in the park area get commercial installation and maintenance. Gemstone permanent lights on sunset timers mean the cabin is lit when you arrive, and the emergency line runs 24/7.

## Electrical services in Meadow Lake Provincial Park

Across the park it's cabins, resorts and campgrounds, spread from about 20 minutes to well over an hour from Goodsoil. These are the services park owners ask for most.

### Cabin electrical in Meadow Lake Provincial Park

From Mistohay and Kimball to Pierce and Waterhen, park cabins work hard for a few months and sit idle for the rest. We do rewires, additions, outdoor outlets and lighting, and we'll tell you honestly which old wiring is fine and which isn't. ### Resort and campground electrical

Commercial installations, maintenance and code-compliance work for the resorts and facilities around the park's lakes. Tell us what you're running and we'll come and look, then plan the work around your busy season. [Commercial Electrical](https://baerelectric.ca/services/commercial/)

### Panel upgrades for park cabins

Plenty of park cabins were built for a few lights and a fridge. If you're adding heat, a hot tub or a bunkhouse, we size a new panel or service, handle the permit and the SaskPower reconnect, and leave room for what comes next. [Panel & Service Upgrades](https://baerelectric.ca/services/panel-upgrades/)

### Seasonal inspections across the park

With a regional frost-free season of only about 96 days, most cabins spend more time closed than open. A check before you open or after you close up finds loose connections and chewed wires before they cause trouble, and the findings come in writing. ### Underground power on park lots

Buried lines to a bunkhouse, shed, dock or yard light keep the wiring out of the trees and away from falling branches. We dig and wire it as one job. [Trenching & Lift Services](https://baerelectric.ca/services/trenching-and-lift/)

### 24/7 emergency service in the park

Call 306-238-7655 any time. The park highways (224, 950 and 954) are partly gravel and the far lakes are over an hour out, so we'll give you an honest arrival time. For fire or a downed line, call 911 or SaskPower first. [24/7 Emergency Electrical Service](https://baerelectric.ca/services/emergency-electrician/)

## Gemstone Lights in Meadow Lake Provincial Park

For a cabin that sits empty for weeks at a time, permanent lights on sunset timers mean the place is lit when you arrive, without anyone having to be there to switch them on.

### Roofline lights on park cabins

Colour-matched track along the eaves. The Hub2 controller holds up to 64 timers that keep running offline, so patchy lake internet isn't a problem. [Permanent Roofline Lights](https://baerelectric.ca/gemstone-lights/residential/)

### Deck lights for lakefront cabins

Flush-mounted lights in deck boards, stairs and posts, for safer steps after dark and a cabin that looks good from the water. [Deck & Stair Lights](https://baerelectric.ca/gemstone-lights/deck-lights/)

### Gemstone lighting for resorts and lodges

Track, flood and strip lighting for lodges, stores and entrance signs, all controlled from one app. We plan the power and schedule the install around your season. [Commercial Lighting](https://baerelectric.ca/gemstone-lights/commercial/)

## Frequently asked questions

### Which parts of Meadow Lake Provincial Park do you cover?

Cabins, resorts and campgrounds across the park. Approximate drives from Goodsoil: Mistohay Lake 19 minutes, Matheson Lake 26, Kimball Lake 33, Howe Bay on Pierce Lake 43, South Waterhen Lake 58 and Flotten Lake 77. Lac des Îles and Greig Lake have their own pages.

### Can you check my cabin before the season?

Yes. A spring inspection before you open, or a fall check before you close up, is a good time to catch loose connections, tired outdoor outlets and anything the mice got into over winter.

### Do you work for resorts and golf courses in the park?

Yes. Resort and golf course facilities in the Meadow Lake Provincial Park area are part of our work: commercial installations, maintenance and code compliance. Tell us what you're running and we'll come and look.

### Will Gemstone lights work at a cabin with poor internet?

Yes. The Hub2 controller holds up to 64 timers, and its sunrise and sunset timers keep working offline. When you're at the cabin, you can also control the lights from your phone over Bluetooth.

### Why do park drive times vary so much?

Distance, mostly. But the park highways (224, 950 and 954) are partly gravel, so real travel time can run longer than the map suggests.
